Through History with Mike Eaton

Founding Seaquest Ltd. in 1993, Mike & Dawn Eaton set up their first factory based in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom. Building a range of sailing mono-hulls between 32ft to 45ft, Seaquest utilised world-renowned yacht designers to the likes of Reichel-Pugh and Stephen Jones. Designs focused on performance racing yachts while providing comfort of cruising. The brand quickly gained traction on the global markets and became popular in England, Europe, Scandinavia’s, Australia and the U.S.A.

In 1994, Seaquest’s SJ320 was launched andimmediately began winning races in the same year such as the Cowes week, which was won in five consecutive years. In the next years, the new ranges RP36 and Prima-38 went on to win prestigious sailing awards such as the U.S. ‘Best Race Yacht of The Year’, RYA ‘Yacht of the Year’ and Dubai ‘Yacht Builder of the Year’ (during two consecutive years).

In 2005, MKM Commercial Holdings LLC invested into Seaquest and moved their manufacturing to Dubai with the purpose of increasing the regions sailing and racing activities. The move was to a larger facility with a plan to increase the manufacturing capability with new, larger projects on the horizon.
