This is a day trip, leaving from Shkoder at 7:30 AM by car, arriving to Komani lake at 9:30 AM, then we get on a ferry at 10:00 AM and travel through Komani lake, and arrive to Shala river at 11:30. The return from Shala river via ferry is at 15:00, and arriving to Shkoder around 18:00.

Things to do at Shala river.

Apart from spending a day by the river and swimming in crystalline waters, you can also rent a kayak. This is a great way to experience the river and enjoy the surroundings. You can take a walk along the bank of the river further away from the crowds or even hike around 45 minutes up to the viewpoint. There is also a zipline.
