🇦🇷 Did you know that José de San Martín, Argentina’s founding father and one of South America’s great liberators, spent his final years in a small town in northern France?

🇫🇷 I traveled to Boulogne-sur-Mer to visit the house where he lived with his family and where he died in 1850.

Walking through its rooms and seeing some of the objects that recreate aspects of his life was a very special experience for me. ✨

And this is only the first part of a story that still has so much more to tell…

If there’s one place in Buenos Aires that feels made for spring, it’s the Rosedal de Palermo. 🌹🌸

Located inside Parque 3 de Febrero, this beautiful garden was created in 1914 and is home to thousands of roses and hundreds of different varieties.

But there’s much more to enjoy. 🌿 The Rosedal is surrounded by a lake where you can rent pedal boats 🚣, while geese wander freely around the park. 🪿

You’ll also find the beautiful Andalusian Patio, donated by the city of Seville and recently restored, with its colorful tiles, fountains, and Spanish charm.

Porteños come here to walk, exercise, have a picnic, read by the lake, or simply slow down
and enjoy nature. 💚

And that’s something I love about Buenos Aires: experiencing the city isn’t always about visiting landmarks. Sometimes, it’s simply about spending an afternoon the way a local would.

Happy Spring from Buenos Aires! 🌹☀️🇦🇷

I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful day in Buenos Aires with Max and Dawn, exploring the city center and discovering some of the places that tell the story of our city. 😍

We walked through historic landmarks, beautiful buildings 🏦 and cultural icons 📷, talking about the people, stories and little details behind them.

And we finished our day right where so much of Argentina’s history has unfolded: Plaza de Mayo, standing in front of the Casa Rosada. 🇦🇷

Thank you, Dawn and Max, for trusting me to show you and your son a little piece of my Buenos Aires. It was such a pleasure having you both here! 🩵🤍🩵

I hope you take home not only great memories, but also a little bit of Buenos Aires with you. 😃

Thank you for sharing your experience! ✨

One of the highlights of my Gaucho Tour is the traditional sulky ride. 🐎

A beautiful way to explore the countryside around San Antonio de Areco, just outside Buenos Aires, and experience a little bit of authentic Argentine campo life.

And yes… sometimes the horses have a few surprises of their own. 💨😂

A full day to discover gaucho culture, Argentine traditions and rural life — with plenty of good moments along the way.

The Palacio Libertad is undoubtedly one of the most impressive buildings in Buenos Aires. ✨

Originally built as the Central Post Office and Telegraph Palace, it was designed by French architect Norbert Maillart and inaugurated in 1928. For decades, this was where letters, telegrams, and messages from all over Argentina came and went. 📮

But its story didn’t end there.

After being declared a National Historic Monument, the building underwent an extensive restoration and transformation. In 2015, it reopened as a massive cultural center dedicated to music, exhibitions, theater, dance, literature, technology, and the
visual arts. 🎭🎶

Today, it is known as Palacio Libertad – Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Cultural Center, and is one of the largest cultural centers in Latin America. Inside, you’ll find spaces such as The Blue Whale (La Ballena Azul), a spectacular symphony hall; the beautiful glass-covered Grand Dome (Gran Cúpula); and
countless architectural details that reveal the building’s fascinating past.

And there’s one last historical detail I love: Evita Perón once had an office here, which has been recreated inside the building. 🇦🇷

So, the next time you walk past this monumental building, remember that you’re
looking at much more than a beautiful piece of architecture.

You’re standing before a place that has spent almost a century connecting Argentina—first through letters, and today through culture. 🤍

Today, on the anniversary of the passing of José de San Martín, the father of our nation, I wanted to share a different kind of story.

As I do every year, I attended the official ceremony at Plaza San Martín, where I met Santino, a 10-year-old boy with an incredible admiration for San Martín and the Grenadiers.

Every weekend, Santino goes to the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral to bring flowers to San Martín’s mausoleum. 🌹 And he has one very clear dream: to become a Grenadier one day. 🥹🇦🇷

Beyond ceremonies, monuments, and history books, there is something very special about seeing how a man who lived almost 200 years ago can still inspire new generations.

That's why I wanted to share Santino’s story. Because keeping our history and collective memory alive also happens this way: through small gestures, admiration, and the dreams of those who come after us. 🤍

Santino, I hope that one day we get to see you fulfill that dream. 🇦🇷

🍰5 Argentine sweet treats you MUST try in Buenos Aires

If you believe that getting to know a country also means tasting its food… get ready. 😏 Here are 5 Argentine classics you absolutely need to try during your visit to Buenos Aires:

🤎 1. Dulce de Leche
Argentina’s ultimate sweet treat. It’s a thick, silky cream made from milk and sugar, similar to caramel but richer, creamier, and with a flavor all its own. We put it in cakes, alfajores, ice cream, pancakes, toast… and yes, we also eat it by the spoonful.

🍪 2. Alfajor
Argentina’s most popular sweet treat, a true national classic and the downfall of kids— and plenty of adults too. 😏 Two soft cookies filled with a generous layer of dulce de leche and often covered in chocolate or powdered sugar. There are hundreds of brands and varieties, from simple everyday versions to gourmet creations.

🥐 3. Medialuna
Our take on the classic croissant. 🥐 It looks similar, but it’s smaller, softer, and slightly sweeter. A true Argentine staple with coffee or mate, especially at breakfast or merienda — our beloved afternoon coffee-and-snack ritual.

🍦 4. Argentine Ice Cream
Ice cream in Argentina is practically an institution. And if there’s one thing that defines us, it’s our love for serving it as high as possible, with mountains of ice
cream that seem to never end. 😏 The tradition comes from the strong influence of Italian immigration, and heladerías are an essential part of everyday life in Buenos Aires. Creamy, rich, and with flavors that go far beyond the classics. And yes: dulce de leche is a must.

🍮 5. Flan
A classic of Argentine home cooking: a smooth, creamy dessert similar to crème caramel, served with caramel sauce. And the most Argentine version? Flan mixto: flan with dulce de leche and whipped cream. Because apparently, one sweet topping is never enough. 😂

And yes, Buenos Aires is famous for tango, football, and steak… but if you have a sweet tooth, there’s a whole other side of the city waiting for you to discover. 🤍

Which one would you try first?
