Km0 Kunstgalerie, Kunst, Künstler Km0 is a space primarily dedicated to Italian art in relation to similar experiences developed in Austria.

Km0 was born from the thirty years experience in the field of modern and contemporary art, gained by the three partners who conceived the project. The gallery spreads over three floors and the total area of 600 square foot is divided up thematically: a project room, a main exibition space, a multifunctional bookshop area, a special room dedicated to design. Km0 was inaugurated in May 2014 with an

exhibition of Lucio Fontana “Eine Eeltanschaung”, showcasing more than 30 ceramics by the Italian artist. The most recent important show in the gallery are: “Icon for a transit”, a two-persons exhibition by American artist Salvatore Scarpitta and German artist Joseph Beuys and “Malerei als Wissenschaft” a show by Josef Albers, Mario Ballocco and Max Bill. Km0 collaborates with major Italian and international art critics and institutions as MART in Rovereto and VAF Stiftung (Frankfurt).

We are pleased to present: Graham Sutherland. Kriegszeichnungen & Porträts (1940-1960) . A selection of works on paper by the renowned Modern British artist, today widely recognized as the father of the Neo-Romantic Movement.
Opening Tuesday February 27th, 6pm

"Gradually it was borne on me amid all this destruction how one shape would impinge itself on another. A lift-shaft, for instance, the only thing left from what had obviously been a very tall building: in the way it had fallen it was like a wounded animal. It wasn't that these forms looked like animals, but their movements where animal movements. One shaft in particular, with a very strong lateral fall, suggested a wounded tiger in painting by Delacroix". G. Sutherland on R. Tassi, Sutherland: the Wartime Drawings, 1980
