🍜💜 CCTS SIMPLE & TASTY – EASY SINGAPORE NOODLES! 🧡🍜

GOOD FOOD DOESN'T HAVE TO BE COMPLICATED!

Looking for something quick, affordable, colourful and full of flavour for lunch or dinner?

This week's Community Care Tailored Support recipe is delicious Singapore Noodles! A simple meal packed with vegetables, protein and flavour that the whole family can enjoy.

⏰ Ready in approximately 30 minutes
🍽️ Serves 4 people
💰 Budget-friendly
🥕 Packed with colourful vegetables
🌱 Easy to adapt for vegetarians

🛒 INGREDIENTS

• 200 g thin rice vermicelli noodles
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 onion, sliced
• 1 carrot, thinly sliced
• 1 red capsicum, sliced
• 1 cup shredded cabbage
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 300 g chicken breast, sliced (or prawns or tofu)
• 2 tablespoons reduced-salt soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon curry powder
• 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
• 2 spring onions, chopped
• Salt and pepper to taste

👩‍🍳 LET'S GET COOKING!

1️⃣ Soak the noodles in warm water according to the packet instructions, then drain.

2️⃣ Heat a little oil in a frying pan, scramble the eggs until cooked and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the chicken in the same pan until completely cooked through, then set aside.

4️⃣ Add the garlic, onion, carrot, capsicum and cabbage. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until softened.

5️⃣ Add the noodles, cooked chicken, eggs, soy sauce, curry powder and sesame oil. Toss everything together for 2–3 minutes until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with spring onions and serve!

✅ Swap chicken for tofu to make a vegetarian version.

✅ Use frozen or pre-cut vegetables to save preparation time.

✅ Reduce the curry powder if you prefer a milder flavour.

Are you receiving the quality of support you deserve?

At Community Care Tailored Support (CCTS), we believe every NDIS participant deserves to feel safe, respected, valued and empowered.

Being an NDIS participant means having choice and control over who supports you, how your supports are delivered and who you trust to provide those services.

Unfortunately, not every service meets the standards participants deserve.

🚩 RED FLAGS TO WATCH OUT FOR

❌ Disrespectful treatment — Support workers speak down to you, ignore you or make you feel uncomfortable.

❌ Your choices are ignored — Your provider makes decisions without involving you or disregards your goals and preferences.

❌ Poor-quality or inconsistent support — Workers regularly arrive late, are distracted by their phones or fail to deliver agreed supports.

❌ Unexplained or excessive charges — You receive invoices you don't understand, charges you didn't agree to or bills for services you didn't receive.

❌ Poor communication — Your questions go unanswered, complaints are dismissed or important information is withheld.

❌ Pressure or intimidation — You are made to feel guilty about changing providers or told you have no choice but to stay.

❌ Unreasonable service conditions — You are pressured into longer support sessions than you need or don't understand the minimum booking and cancellation conditions in your service agreement.

💜 REMEMBER — YOU HAVE RIGHTS!

✅ Choose the providers and support workers who best meet your needs.

✅ Be treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

✅ Receive safe, quality and person-centred support.

✅ Request clear invoices and explanations of charges.

✅ Have your goals, preferences and decisions respected.

✅ Raise concerns and make complaints without fear of retaliation.

✅ Change service providers when your current provider is not meeting your needs, subject to applicable service agreement terms and notice requirements.

✅ Seek assistance from your Support Coordinator, advocate or another trusted person when making changes.

🌱💜 GARDENING FOR PUDDLE JUMPERS — ELIZABETH DOWNS! 💜🌱

A little garden care can make a BIG difference in our community!

Our Community Care Tailored Support (CCTS) Gardening Crew has been hard at work in Elizabeth Downs as part of our Gardening for Puddle Jumpers campaign.

From tackling overgrown lawns and garden areas to mowing, edging and general garden maintenance, our team has been putting in the effort to help restore this property.

💜 GIVING BACK WHILE GETTING THE JOB DONE!

Throughout October to December 2026, CCTS is donating $10 from every eligible privately booked and completed gardening service to Puddle Jumpers — Because Kids Matter.

This donation comes directly from our business, at no additional cost to the customer.

We believe supporting our community is about more than words. It's about rolling up our sleeves, taking action and making a meaningful contribution.

WHEN THE FUNDING RAN OUT, OUR COMMITMENT DIDN’T.

Real People. Real Situations. Real Support.

At Community Care Tailored Support (CCTS), we believe genuine support means standing beside participants, especially when times get tough.

When George* joined CCTS, we discovered outstanding invoices and insufficient funding to continue his essential supports.

Rather than simply cease services, our Director made the decision to continue George’s supports at company expense during the interim, ensuring his safety and wellbeing remained our priority.

But we didn't stop there.

We worked WITH George, his Plan Manager and the NDIS, holding meetings, explaining his funding through visual graphs and exploring every reasonable option together.

With reducing supports potentially placing George at risk, we agreed to pursue a Change of Situation request. Our Support Coordinator is now gathering evidence to support his funding needs.

💜 At CCTS, tough times don't mean less commitment. They mean more communication, more engagement and standing beside you.

We believe in transparency, respect and putting participants in the driver's seat of their NDIS plans.
