✨ Pitts Special 80th Anniversary Fly-In – What a Day! ✨
Last Saturday we celebrated 80 years of the iconic Pitts Special at Albury Airport — and it was a fantastic turnout! 🛩️🔥
We welcomed six Pitts aircraft:
• VH-OBB – TG Aero’s own local Pitts S-1D
• VH-IWC – a modified S-1 flown in by Liam Harland
• VH-EXO – a red S-1T operated by Michael Jones of The Screaming Diamonds
• VH-ISX – a highly modified Pitts S-1-11 flown by Screaming Diamonds leader Adrian Vandersluys
• VH-NDX – a stunning Pitts Model 12 flown in by Sam Garden
• VH-XBK – Ben Lappin’s Pitts S-2A, flown in by Gerard Lappin
Even with some weather up north, two committed owners still made the long drive from Shellharbour to join the fun — true Pitts dedication!
