Established in 2005, Forest Air Helicopters (FAH) has a safety record second to none and an excellent reputation for providing professional rotary wing services to the community. Since our inception we have specialised in remote area operations for private, corporate and government organisations. Based on the NSW/VIC border at Albury, Forest Air provides a broad range of services throughout Austra

lia including aerial fire fighting, agriculture, crane, survey, photography, charter and scenic flights. Beginning in 2012, we operate the Falls Creek Heli Shuttle between Albury Airport, Falls Creek, Mount Beauty, and Mount Hotham. Imagine getting of the plane at Albury airport and stepping straight into your helicopter to take you up to the snowfields. Leave the hassle of parking, chains, winding mountain roads and you can even take your own skis or snowboard with a purpose-built basket on the outside of the aircraft! Forest Air Helicopters CEO John Murray has just spent the last few days attending the Aerial Firefighting Asia-Pacific 2026 Conference. It was great to network with industry leaders such as Andre and Kim Hutchings from Volo Mission who have journeyed over to the conference from Texas. Volo Mission have a contract to do longline/vertical reference training for NPWS crew, and we are fortunate to have this level of expertise brought to the firefighting and utility personnel performing external load missions here in Australia.
Whilst he may have crossed the pond, Andre hails from Wodonga originally and flew for Columbia among others before committing to providing the professional benchmark in longline operations to the world. John attained his longline ticket with Volo Mission in California when they first commenced their training operations 🙌💪🚁 🇦🇺 AerialFire Magazine
