Hi EGAT folk - we've been planning an arts and nature trail in Far East Gippsland for a while now - from Lakes Entrance to Cape Conran . It's called the FAR EAST FLANEUR .
We'd LOVE to entice a bunch of cyclists to the East Gippsland Rail Trail leg on Wednesday 18 March. Hope some of you can make it! NOWA NOWA TO ORBOST.

There is a $25 fee to cycle with the fabulous cycling, storytelling geomorphologist Eric Sjerp - and travel in great company. (and support the concept of more cycling in EG.) (BYO bike).

if you are interested - we can also offer camping / cabins / dinner at Mingling Waters the night before (for a modest camping fee). (with a little music on the side by Reefman).

We are working with Snowy River Cycling (who can hire out standard or e-bikes if anyone needs them).

Want to help improve active transport in East Gippsland? Council are engaging on the 2026 budget, and we have the opportunity to tell them that improved active transport infrastructure should be a priority. Submissions close 9 March, link in the comments.
