Air Link

Great news today for the people of Bourke. Walgett & Lightning Ridge. Special thanks to Roy Butler MP for his tireless advocacy and also Tara Moriarty MLC for understanding the needs of these communities.

We look forward to continuing to serve these communities into the future.

Due to expire in November, the Western Air Services Subsidy has been renewed for another year, enabling cheaper flights by Air Link and FlyPelican to an area covering more than 111,000 square kilometres including Bourke, Walgett, Lightning Ridge and Cobar.

We’ve seen our friends at Airlink South Africa making headlines with their spectacular low-level stadium flyover…

We might not have Embraer E190s, but never underestimate a couple of Chieftains with a run-up and a decent tailwind.

Same name.
Same industry.
Slightly less horsepower.

And we’ve allowed a little more clearance over the grandstand. 😂

Another successful mission supporting Wings4Kidz. These families are able to fly to medical appointments avoiding hour, sometimes days on the road through the hard work Wings4Kidz do 🫶

Guess who… 🫣

We would like to provide an update on the testing of the two Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) at Western Sydney International Airport (WSI).
To complete testing safely and thoroughly, the testing period has been extended by two additional days.
A small aircraft will conduct a series of flight validation runs on Wednesday 22 April and Thursday 23 April 2026, between 11:00am and 3:00pm.
These flights will involve repeated approaches to the runway as part of the required testing and validation process.
During these times, local residents may notice a small aircraft flying repeated low level flight patterns in the vicinity of the airport.
To ensure safe operations, the airspace above WSI will be temporarily closed to other aircraft while testing is underway.

Yep a visit to the Cairns Air Link base where our fabulous local team hosted our friends from Independent Aviation!

We love it when our broker partners call in to see our fleet and facilities.
