Straight from the Source... It’s National Recycling Week, and we’re proud to be working with Planet Ark (10–16 November) to inspire schools across Australia to recycle right.

As part of the celebrations, schools are invited to take part in the Design Your Own Recycling Signs competition for a chance to win a complete School Recycling Kit, featuring our Australian-made bins — some manufactured from up to 100% post-consumer recycled content — and Compost-A-Pak® certified compostable liners.

Help your students turn learning into real-world action.

Entries close Friday, 21 November 2025.

One of our favourite reasons to be early risers!

Our warehouse team are stocktaking amongst the very tall plastic-free pallets stacks — and what began with an eyeroll at Melanie’s “safari binocular” suggestion, has suddenly escalated into full-blown expedition mode!

The team have fully embraced the spirit: khaki gear, camo vibes, and binoculars consistently at the ready — peering across our rows of plastic-free pallets like rangers waiting patiently for the elusive bilby to appear.

It’s very entertaining to watch from our elevated office position, you’d swear the team were on walkabout — and the sightings are just as exciting:
- The celebration and documentation of elusive missing cartons, carefully logged like a threatened species.
- Their clipboards, doubling as a trusty field guide.
- The pallet herd counted with the seriousness of a wildlife census.
- And of course, our resident blue-tongue lizard, who has reemerged with the spring sunshine not wanting to miss out on the action.

Amongst all the fun, let’s hope we can get this stocktake all done, so we can get back to what we are so good at. Despatching our innovative waste diversion solutions, which are designed and manufactured to connect Australians to a more sustainable future.

Our distribution teams have just wrapped up the first phase of Blacktown City Council's rollout — and they’re still smiling after delivering 128,000 FOGO Kits! They even made it to Caddy Street and couldn’t resist stopping for a quick selfie.

Each kit includes our Australian Certified Compost-A-Pak® bags and our FOGO Kitchen Caddy which we proudly made in Australia using around 80% Post-Consumer Recycled content. That means items once discarded in household yellow recycling bins, like food packaging plastics, are now being given a new life.

The full changeover is still underway, but it’s nice to pause on a Friday to celebrate a big community win. Together with the passionate team at Blacktown City Council, we’re making simple, practical, and delivering real benefits for the Australian environment.

Straight from the Source…Soft-Plastic recycling and reuse for manufacturing is happening! We’re excited to celebrate the launch of IQ Renew's impressive new facility, and proud to partner with their innovative, passionate team to expand the opportunities for soft plastics to be reused in our Australian manufacturing processes.

At the event, we showcased our Australian-made MultiSort Base and Kitchen Caddies, manufactured from Post-Consumer Recycled Plastics — which can now include a portion of iQRenew’s soft plastics. Soft plastics remain one of the most pressing environmental challenges due to their widespread use in packaging, high community reliance, and the complexities of recycling. As a community, it’s vital that we continue to eliminate single-use plastics where possible and choose products made from recycled materials to drive demand.

We believe partnerships like this are critical in driving momentum in Australia’s growing circular economy — turning challenges into opportunities for real environmental impact.

Today we're working on some fresh marketing collateral, and this time we’re drawing inspiration from two of our favourite things – powerful environmental quotes and Natasha’s stunning photography of native Australian flowers.

Is there anything more beautiful and powerful than nature itself reminding us why we do what we do?

We can’t wait to share these with you so here is a sneak peek. Our favourite quote is the first..."The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else with save it" - Robert Swan.

Mieleke has put the finishing touches on these striking National Park Bins. Designed in partnership with our client, they proudly include customer branding, signaling our client’s purposeful approach to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

These units combine clarity, consistency, and durability. Designed for a busy public space, these units transform the simple act of throwing away waste into a conscious decision, helping to reduce contamination and make sustainable practice second nature.

As Plastic Free July wraps up for us, it’s a powerful reminder that meaningful change doesn’t always start with grand gestures or perfection – it starts with the small, conscious choices of many made consistently.

“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” Vincent Van Gogh

Simple changes like swapping to reusable coffee cups or Australian Certified Compost-A-Pak Bags are small, but they contribute to a bigger shift which can change the world!

It’s been lovely to engage with so many new customers this month, so many of whom have volunteered to step up as passionate change leaders in their organisations, schools, and communities. Let’s hope July is just the beginning…

Straight from the Source today...Emily Coverdale, Mitchell Peacock and Peter Cruwys are at the ReGen Expo Australia in Sydney. Whilst our innovative sustainability products look great, the most powerful story we have to share is how our manufacturing processes are pushing the boundaries of Australia’s circular economy.

If you get a chance over the next two days, drop in and visit.

We have another set of Custom Cabinetry Louvre units flying out the door to an airport 😉

Effective educational information is always key to a optimal recovery. This client has reviewed their common recovery and waste stream items, identified their contamination concerns, and then worked with our graphic designer to customise the graphics. The resulting design is clear and effective, using Australian standard colours and differentiated apertures around which waste items are included, right down to the boarding passes which can be recycled.

A taller station to increase the capacity to 270 Litres, this unit is made in from commercial melamine in Graphite with a Stainless Steel Top Plate.

If you would like more information on this project, please reach out to the team.

Whilst the kids are all at home enjoying a chilly holiday, our team have been busy making colourful Public Place Wall Hubs ready for Term 3.

Consistency is key to a successful recycling program, so whilst these gorgeous stations will take pride of place in key public places, our standard MultiSort units are also being used in some common areas.

These Stainless-Steel units feature our MultiSort Lids with Australian Standard Colours and modified apertures. The brushed Stainless-Steel finish has been retained on the side panels and top frame, with a Vinyl educational sign breaking down the waste types in each stream on the large face. Theses units will form part of the educational program which will reinforce the separation needed across all recycling stations to optimise recovery. The Public Place range if available in a number of configurations, with this wall hub ideally sitting along walls or corridors.

With the new NSW EPA mandate now in place to establish an Organics Stream for large waste generators, we expect to be assisting more schools to upgrade their recycling programs. If you would like more information, please reach out to Emily Coverdale and our expert team.
