Simple, but effective. 🌾
"Two heads are better than one" β€” turns out that's true for humidity sensors too. That's just one of the reasons BaleTime uses two, not one.

Can you spot the second sensor? πŸ‘€ Not always obvious β€” a bit like moisture inside a windrow of hay.

Two humidity sensors, not one. Here's why. 🌾

Years ago, testing my first BaleTime prototypes, I mounted a sensor on the outside of an enclosure (an old fishing tackle box, if I'm honest) and compared it to one just sitting out on the hay. The one on the box read wrong β€” turns out the box itself was holding heat, even overnight.

That's why BaleTime's sensors sit out on a cable, away from anything physical.

And why there's two of them. Hay isn't the same all the way through a windrow β€” top, bottom, one side to the other. Two sensors, placed differently, give a true picture instead of one number guessing for the whole thing.

New electronics, new charts πŸ“Š BaleTime can now graph your data straight from the paddock β€” humidity, temp, whatever you need to see. And now that I've cracked how to build them, I can put together pretty much any chart you want. Got something specific in mind? Ask away. 🌾
