Honouring David Cooke - A Decade of Leadership

After ten years as Chairman and almost twenty years of service, David Cooke has completed his tenure with Skillset, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of vision, stability, and growth.

During David’s leadership:

• Skillset broadened its services and introduced programs that continue to make a real difference, including Skillset Senior College and Land Works.
• A major brand refresh brought all areas of the business together under a strong, unified identity.
• Skillset celebrated its 40th anniversary, having supported more than 6,500 apprentices and trainees into employment during his time.
• Our new headquarters at 1 Church Street, Bathurst was purchased and refurbished – a milestone that reflects renewed momentum and our commitment to regional communities.

In recognition of David’s dedication, the boardroom in our Bathurst head office now carries his name, a lasting tribute to his belief in creating opportunity and his commitment to helping people and communities thrive.
