My New/old surf ski. Its been a while since I've paddled one of these. It spat me into the water a couple of times to put my ego back in it's place and to remind me of proper technique. Muscles are feeling it, but it's really great fun.

Hudsonian Godwit, a very rare visitor to Australia. Showed up several days ago at Hays Inlet, Moreton Bay. Queensland. After 3 days of sloshing around mudflats, I finally managed to see and photograph this bird off Sandgate Beach. A lifer for me. Not the best photos, but they'll do. It's the bird to the right, the others are Bar-tailed Godwit

This female Musk Duck is an uncommon visitor to Sandstone Lakes, Ningi and is quite elusive. They have a low profile and resemble a Platypus in the water.
