Tom joined Avcair in early 2023 as a First Officer, three and a half years later, his dedication, professionalism and commitment have earned him the fourth stripe.

Throughout his journey, Tom has been a valued member of our team, consistently demonstrating the enthusiasm, knowledge and determination that embody the Avcair spirit.

What does a “sea-level cabin” actually mean in aeromedical aviation?

For some patients, cabin pressure can be an important part of the medical transport plan. Maintaining conditions closer to sea-level pressure can influence how the entire mission is flown, from altitude and fuel burn to range, routing and potential fuel stops.

It’s a good example of how aeromedical aviation brings two disciplines together: the medical team determines what the patient requires, while the flight crew develops an aircraft profile that safely supports those needs within operational limitations.

Every patient is different. Every mission is different. And sometimes, the way we fly changes because of it.

We’re proud to officially welcome Kean Chaye (KC) Chua to Avcair’s Singapore team, following his recent promotion to Captain.

KC brings an exceptional depth of aviation experience to Avcair. A former airline pilot rated on the Boeing 737, his career also includes distinguished service with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, where he served as a Squadron Commander on the AS332 Super Puma, conducting numerous Search and Rescue missions.

His experience spans both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aviation, having also served as a qualified flight instructor on turboprop aircraft and helicopters.

Today, KC brings that experience to Avcair as one of our skippers on the Bombardier LR60, working alongside our Singapore-based pilots at the forefront of our growing operations across Asia, from executive charter to aeromedical missions throughout the region.

A well-deserved promotion and another important step forward for our Singapore team.

Welcoming Jasmine Dowd to Avcair.

Jasmine joins Avcair as a First Officer on the Bombardier Learjet60, bringing more than two and a half years of experience as a Flight Instructor and Maintenance Coordinator at various companies.

With a strong foundation in multi-engine IFR training, aircraft systems and operational safety, Jasmine brings valuable technical knowledge, instructional experience and a disciplined approach to the flight deck.

Combined with her previous experience in customer service and leadership, she brings strong communication skills, professionalism and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.

We’re excited to have Jasmine onboard and see her get amongst it all.
