Built locally in Australia, the NCA 4.5 Mk2 remains one of the most versatile catamarans available. With the option of a front trampoline and storage box, it is equally at home racing, cruising, family sailing and adventure sailing.

From early development days on the beach to racing today — the NCA 16sq has been part of a long and active Australian sailing history.
Building in Australia since 1985, with the NCA 16sq introduced in 1987, the class has continued to evolve through generations of sailors while remaining an active one-design racing fleet today.

These boats have delivered decades of close racing, with ongoing support, available parts, and strong resale value still evident across the fleet.

🎄🚚🌊 A Busy finish for the year and an update from NCA Catamarans 🌊🚚🎄

A new name, the same experienced team — and a seriously busy end to the year.

In just a few short months since launching NCA Catamarans, the momentum has been building, and this week really summed it up. We’ve just delivered 5 boats across Queensland and NSW, while continuing to push forward with development, innovation, and growth under the NCA banner.

Built on 40 years of Australian catamaran manufacturing experience, the same team and facilities now operate independently as NCA Catamarans. This gives us the freedom to innovate, manufacture locally, and create new opportunities both here and overseas — and the results are already showing.

🚚 A Huge Delivery Week

This week alone, we delivered five boats to great homes and even better causes:

Sydney – heading to a holiday house, ready for family sailing and summer fun

Mackay – 2 boats delivered and ready to hit the water

Lake Samsonvale Water Sports Association – 2 x NCA 350s heading to a sailing club, where they’ll help introduce kids to catamaran sailing as they step up from learn-to-sail dinghies ⛵👏

⚙️ What We’ve Achieved Since Rebranding

Since launching NCA Catamarans, we’ve:

Completed a full rebrand including logo, signage, boat graphics, vehicles, and website updates

Sold multiple second-hand boats under the NCA name

Supplied parts and accessories worldwide

Continued strong support for existing fleets

Seen growing interest locally and internationally

We’ve also been busy improving the hire/resort boats themselves, with recent upgrades including:

Shallow-draft rudders

Aluminium oxide hull protection

A new rear beam for the NCA 350

🔮 Looking Ahead

We’re also working on a brand-new 5.0m catamaran, aimed at club racers and social sailors, targeted around AUD $22,000 — more to share on that soon.

It’s only been a few months, but the progress has been steady, exciting, and incredibly rewarding. Delivering boats, supporting sailors, and seeing NCA cats spread across Australia reminds us why we do this.
