Precision Rigging and Logistics was recently engaged by our valued client VAE to undertake the removal and replacement of the air-conditioning plant at Festival Towers, Charlotte Street in the Brisbane C*D.

With the project sitting right in the heart of the C*D, there was a huge amount of planning, coordination and preparation behind the scenes before we even got to lift day.

Multiple crews worked around the clock across the set-up, lifting operations and pack-down to get the works completed safely and keep everything moving to plan.

A massive effort from all of our Crew and amazing subcontractors onsite, along with Borger Cranes, Quickwell Express and Traffic Control Innovations. Jobs like this only come together when everyone plays their part.

And a big thank you to VAE for once again trusting Precision Rigging and Logistics to deliver the difficult ones.

This video is only a quick sneak peek of what went into making it all happen.

Proud of this one and even prouder of the team behind it.

Providing an innovative solution for the impossible job.

Not every job needs a crane.

Some of the most important work in mechanical rigging happens in tight access areas where experience and the right equipment make all the difference.

This is the type of work our team at Precision Rigging & Logistics has completed hundreds of times over the past decade.

For this project the crew used a combination of:

• Temporary scaffolding to create a safe working platform
• Stair climbers to move equipment through the stair access
• Chain blocks for the controlled removal and installation of the replacement motors

Jobs like this might look straightforward in a short video, but they rely on careful planning, coordination and a crew that understands mechanical rigging fundamentals.

These are the projects that make up the bread and butter of our industry — and it’s the type of work our team takes pride in delivering safely and efficiently every day.

Precision Rigging & Logistics – Bundamba Water Treatment Plant

Over the past few weeks our team successfully completed a mechanical rigging project at the Bundamba Water Treatment Plant.

The scope involved the extraction of 9 × 13.5-tonne filters and installation of 18 × 6.5-tonne units, all carried out inside a live operational facility.

With no direct crane access, the works were carefully executed using controlled skating methods and removal through the side of the structure — requiring detailed planning, coordination and precise ex*****on from the entire crew.

Another complex mechanical rigging project delivered safely and efficiently.

Great effort by everyone involved 👏
