Been a long while since we posted from our trip last year but some have been asking for more photos. Kind of wanting to finish posting from that trip before our current one, but it could take a while 😳…..

📍Galvans and Adcock Gorges, Gibb River Rd, Kimberley, WA

This was the first day we were allowed out of Manning campground - we decided to visit 2 gorges before packing up and moving. Galvans Gorge was my favourite gorge on the Gibb - it was like a secluded oasis with a waterfall and rope swing / tree you could jump from. At Adcock Gorge we had to park the car a long way away due to flooding (didn’t want to risk getting bogged), trekked through mud in bare feet, and climbed over rocks to get there.

📍Pender Bay Escape, Dampier Peninsula

This place was stunning 🤩. We were perched on a cliff top with beautiful views over the water - we enjoyed spotting dolphins and fish jumping out of the water. Unfortunately no whales - we were a bit too early.

We ended up staying 9 nights, which was the longest stay in one place for the trip at that point. It felt like the first time we got to slow down and relax in months!

And really cool rock formations and rock pools to explore 👌

📍Broome

We didn’t actually do a lot of sightseeing in Broome…. We stayed 3 nights before heading up the Dampier Peninsula (for 2 weeks), and another 4 nights before starting the Gibb.

We had the car serviced, haircuts, massages 😍, clothes shopping for the kids, stocked up big on groceries x 2, and did batch cooking for the Gibb.

Cable Beach at sunset was the highlight ✨
