Job Summary:
Aircraft Maintenance Services Australia is seeking an experienced MRO Avionics, Structures & Mechanical AME's (Technician) for multiple positions for a 12-month contract based in Brisbane, with the possibility of an extension or transition to a full-time role. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in defence or aviation. The position offers competitive rates and great working conditions.
As a Production / MRO Technician, you will be responsible for executing, reporting, and overseeing assigned tasks within the Production Operations. Key duties include task planning, kitting, assembly, testing, fault diagnosis, overhaul, repair, quality assurance (QA), documentation, ERP data entry, and labelling and packing. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, such as process enhancements, updating instructions, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
Ex*****on & Reporting: Plan, execute, verify, and report on assigned Production/MRO Operations Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and discrete tasks.
Workflow Support: Collaborate in the planning, kitting, building, testing, QA, documentation, labelling, and packing of production processes.
ERP System Support: Assist with data entry, workflow management, and record-keeping within the ERP system.
Liaison Support: Work closely with engineering, supply, and inventory teams for product definition and parts procurement.
Documentation Updates: Help update production, DM, and product acceptance instructions.
Testing Support: Assist in the performance and documentation of first-of-type and production article testing.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Diploma or Certificate in electrical/electronic, mechanical, or structural engineering.
- Proven track record in planning, executing, and delivering technical production and maintenance outcomes on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), QA principles, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically and systematically.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing tasks effectively.
- A solid team player with a strong work ethic.
-Full working rights and current Australian residency.
- Holds or is eligible for Australian Security Clearance.
- Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Aerospace industry, focusing on hardware component fabrication, assembly, testing, and configuration management (CM).
- Experience supervising or reviewing technical work.
- Familiarity with technical design, fabrication, drawing, and testing tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and related tools.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments, with varying temperature conditions and noise levels.
-Physical tasks include bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, lifting moderately heavy objects (up to 16 kilograms), and the ability to wear protective equipment (e.g., dust mask, nitrile gloves).
- Must be able to see and hear within normal ranges, with or without correction, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
