𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗜𝗠

On October 5th, at the World Apnea 2026 Depth World Championships in Limassol, Cyprus, 𝗭𝘀ó𝗳𝗶𝗮 𝗧ö𝗿ő𝗰𝘀𝗶𝗸 (𝗛𝗨𝗡) set a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗜𝗠), diving to a depth of 𝟭𝟬𝟴𝗺 (𝟯𝟱𝟰𝗳𝘁).

This result is 1m (3ft) deeper than the previous AIDA World Record of 107m (351ft), also set by Zsófia at the AIDA Lastovo Super Deep Week 3 in Lastovo, Croatia, in August 2026. The same depth was later reached by 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗶𝗮 𝗭𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘃𝗮 (𝗨𝗞𝗥), who set the CMAS World Record at the 2026 CMAS World Championship Freediving Depth in Roatán, Honduras.

What a year it has been for women’s FIM! At the beginning of 2026, the absolute World Record stood at 104m (341ft), set by 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗭𝗲𝗰𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶 (𝗜𝗧𝗔). Since then, the record has moved deeper several times:
° 105m (344ft) — Zsófia Törőcsik at the AIDA Mabini Depth Quest in April
° 106m (348ft) — Nataliia Zharkova at the Only One AIDA Event in May
° 106m — Enchante Gallardo (USA), equaling the record in July at the AIDA Asian Freediving Cup 2026
° 107m (351ft) — Zsófia Törőcsik at the AIDA Lastovo Super Deep Week 3 in August
° 107m — Nataliia Zharkova, setting the CMAS World Record in August
° And now, 108m (354ft) — Zsófia Törőcsik at the World Apnea 2026 Depth World Championships!

For Zsófia, this is another remarkable achievement in a season already filled with records. She first became the absolute FIM World Record holder in April with her 105m (344ft) dive in the Philippines, and reclaimed the title in August with a 107m (351ft) dive in Croatia. Now, on the World Championship stage in Limassol, she has pushed the discipline another meter deeper.

Congratulations, Zsófia! What an incredible performance and another unforgettable world record!
