✈️ More flights between Hobart–Adelaide! ✈️

Jetstar Australia is ramping up capacity on the Hobart to Adelaide route, adding two extra flights a week. That means six flights a week most of the year, stepping up to daily flights during school holidays and other busy travel periods!

More seats, more flexibility, more reasons to plan that trip across the strait. 🧡

Whether you're heading to Adelaide for a getaway or welcoming visitors to Tassie, there's never been a better time to book.

🎄 We're proud to be on board with Variety the Children's Charity TAS once again as Major Partner of Variety Kids Carols, returning to Tolosa Park on Saturday 19 December.
Following a successful debut last year, Variety Kids Carols is back with a fun-filled Christmas sing-along designed especially for families with younger children. The day will feature Christmas favourites, live entertainment and a special visit from Santa.
At Hobart Airport, connecting communities is at the heart of what we do, and we're pleased to support an event that brings families together at such a special time of year.

Direct flights between Hobart and Newcastle are bigger and better this year ✈️
The Jetstar Australia seasonal service will run for an extra month, with more than 28,000 seats available - that's 6,000 more than last year.
It means Tasmanians can reach the beaches of Newcastle and Port Stephens, or the wineries and food of the Hunter Valley, without connecting through another city. And for the Hunter region's one million residents, it's a direct link to all the amazing things Tassie has to offer.
📅 Flying: 27 October 2026 – 24 April 2027
🛫 Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
💰 Fares: from $109 one-way^
The more Tasmanians and Novocastrians who fly it, the stronger the case to keep growing this route - this season's extra seats came off the back of last year's strong demand, through continued work with Jetstar and the Tasmanian Government.
Flights are on sale now at jetstar.com.au
^Fares available until sold out. One-way, excludes checked bags. Conditions apply.

On Wednesday we were pleased to support Destination Southern Tasmania's Networking Event, bringing together tourism operators and partners from across the region.

As Tasmania's gateway airport, we're proud to support events that help bring industry together, share ideas and strengthen connections across the visitor economy.

Thank you to Destination Southern Tasmania for hosting another great event, and to the panel speakers for sharing their expertise and perspectives.

🌻 We’re proud to be part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, which helps people with non-visible disabilities discreetly signal that they may need a little extra understanding, patience or support while travelling.

Recently, together with our partners at MSS Security, we welcomed some in person sessions with Hidden Disabilities Sunflower to Hobart Airport. The sessions provided an opportunity to share insights and have valuable conversations about supporting travellers living with hidden disabilities as they travel through our airport.

By continuing to listen, learn and build awareness, we can help create a more welcoming and inclusive airport experience for everyone.

We provide sunflower lanyards to travellers with hidden disabilities, to find out more please visit our website: https://hobartairport.com.au/travellers/airport-guide/accessibility/hidden-disabilities/

Take a look at this Ansett Convair CV-340, parked at Hobart Airport in the 1950s. The CV-340 carried around 44 passengers and with a cruising speed of around 457km/h, it was a marvel of its time.

From propellers to jets, aviation has come a long way. Fast forward to today, the Airbus A320, a familiar sight in Hobart skies, can carry around 140 more passengers and cruise nearly 400km/h faster.

We're proudly on board as a sponsor of the Australian Antarctic Festival, celebrating Tasmania's unique connection as Australia's Antarctic gateway.

Festival visitors arriving at the airport received a warm Tasmanian welcome, with a choir performing maritime songs in the terminal forecourt.

We’re proud to support a vibrant calendar of events that showcase the very best of Tasmania and help bring a little Antarctic magic to the terminal.

The Festival runs until 23 August. Find the program at www.mawsons-huts.org.au/2026-festival-program/.
