Clifton's SES was awarded 'Operational Response of the Year,' for their role in last years November 1 hailstorm. Acting Regional Director David Johnson said of the group (which only had four members at the time, responding to 119 incidents):

"What the Clifton team faced was extraordinary. This was not simply an SES response to an affected community. These volunteers were part of that community and were dealing with the same devastation themselves.”
