This has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make.
Over the past several months we genuinely believed we could find a pathway to keep GC Polefit going through a transition to a new premises. We explored multiple locations, engaged planners and certifiers, worked through approvals and tried to solve every obstacle as it arose.
Unfortunately, the reality of commercial leasing and indoor recreation approvals in the current environment became far more complex than originally anticipated. What initially looked like a viable pathway ultimately evolved into a lengthy and uncertain planning process involving substantial additional cost, time and risk, with no guarantee of approval.
As heartbreaking as this is, we ultimately felt it would be irresponsible to continue moving forward under those conditions.
We know this news will be deeply disappointing for many people. Please know we did not arrive at this lightly. We truly did our best to explore every realistic avenue available to us.
What has been created at GC Polefit over the years is incredibly special. Beyond the classes, it has been a place of confidence, friendship, growth, creativity and support for so many people.
