Air Frontier would like to sincerely thank NT Police and all emergency services personnel involved in the search effort to find the aircraft that went missing last Tuesday. Their work has been carried out in extremely challenging and dangerous conditions, we are deeply grateful for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment throughout.
The investigation remains under the direction of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and NT Police. Air Frontier continues to work closely with all three authorities giving whatever support we can.

Our focus remains on supporting the pilot's family and our employees during this incredibly difficult time.

We will provide further updates as information becomes available.

We are sharing this sad news with the difficult responsibility of keeping our Air Frontier community informed.

Earlier today one of our aircraft, a Beechcraft Baron, was involved in an accident near Numbulwar. The aircraft was undertaking a non-commercial repositioning flight with no passengers from Gove to Numbulwar, with the pilot believed to be the sole occupant on board.
Recovery efforts for our pilot and the aircraft are continuing, led by CASA, the ATSB and NT Police, with our full support.

Our pilot's welfare, and that of their family, is our absolute priority. We have contacted the family and are supporting them as this situation unfolds.
As a precaution, we have grounded all Beechcraft Baron aircraft in our fleet pending advice from the relevant authorities.

We ask that our community respect the privacy of our pilot and their family, and our staff during this incredibly difficult time.

Update on Jen's arrival time, she should be arriving at Emkaytee at 3.50pm, just a slight delay due to strong headwinds.

Air Frontier is eagerly awaiting the safe return of Jennifer Hunt and her Co-pup Bella at Emkaytee Airstrip (Near Noonamah) tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 30/09/2025).
An ETA will be provided tomorrow morning.
Everyone is welcome to come down and see Jen, Bella and the Super Petrel and congratulate her on a successful circumnavigation of Australia.
