Quamby Hollows next gen 🐣🙏💖🫶

Here is your first peek at our precious little Quamby's, Incubated at our 100% off grid solar powered homestead in the mountains of Tasmania.

We don't incubate in winter 🥶 only in Spring and summer, that's what the wait was all about.

Our line is many years old now, our eggs came directly from the brilliant Dr Gil Stokes the creator of the Quamby breed here in Tasmania, he taught us everything and we were privileged to be given his entire poultry library and the last of his Quamby's to retire with us at Quamby Hollows, some of his girls were 11 years old and they are still going strong in the wind, snow and rain here in the Highlands, that's how you know our line of Quamby is extraordinary.

We only breed from our large flock of 2,3 and 4th year layers, we DO NOT incubate or sell tiny pullet eggs from our young Quamby's.

Want to buy our ethically raised, chem-free and kindly home slaughtered Tasmanian lambs? Well you can’t.

Thanks to Tasmanian government indifference after our Southern Tasmanian Association of Meat Producers - STAMP - submitted a parliamentary petition for review of the Tasmanian slaughter system we’ve had no changes or support in almost two years!

Now that the Woolworths and Coles lamb and beef supply storm has erupted in Tasmania, those of us urging for government change are left feeling even more disrespected and disregarded. Not to mention frustrated about the lack of choice for the wellbeing of our animals, land, and health of our communities.

We want to offer Tasmanian customers a better, kinder option. On our farms our animals are not treated as ‘units’ or a ‘commodity’.
We are asking for micro abattoir models to be supported and home kill restrictions lifted - along with education and top skill level requirements animal handling.

Hopefully the public will back us!! That way our beloved Aloeburn Dual Purpose Poll Merino x Poll Dorset lambs can be sold to you.

Our first Spring/Summer release is underway, and we’re SO excited to start working through our waiting list!

📧 KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR EMAIL!
When your name reaches the front of the list, you’ll receive an email letting you know that fertile Quamby eggs are ready for you to order.

⚠️ PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER TOO!
You’ll need to respond to the email if you’d like to secure your eggs. We won’t be sending follow-up emails, as we need to keep moving through the list.

🐣 A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS:

1. Everyone will be contacted in the order you joined the waiting list, so please be patient. There’s a lot of beautiful Quamby work happening behind the scenes!

2. No need to message us asking if you’re still on the list, if your name is on our list, we have you! 💛 We’ll work our way through everyone over spring and summer.

3. Eggs are first paid, first served. Once you receive your email, your eggs are secured by completing the order form FIRST, then making payment. This ensures we have all your order and shipping details before payment is made.
