📦 A friendly reminder for customers collecting freight directly from our depot

When collecting your freight, if there is no clipboard with your parcels to sign, please make sure your item is scanned by one of the Dongara Freight team before you leave. This allows us to close the delivery off correctly in our system.

Our depot is locked when we’re not there, however some businesses and couriers have access during the day. If you arrive and the doors are open but no Dongara Freight staff are around, please give us a quick call before taking your parcel.

Taking freight without it being signed for or scanned creates extra admin for us afterwards while we try to track down and confirm the collection.

Hi everyone,

As some of you may already be aware, we experienced a theft from our depot on Thursday, 11 June. Investigations are ongoing.

In response, we have upgraded our security systems and are introducing dedicated collection times for non-business-related freight:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 9:30am
• Monday to Friday: 4:30pm to 5:00pm

If the main depot doors are open outside of these times, we are generally onsite sorting freight or attending to depot operations, so please feel free to pop in.

We understand this may be inconvenient for some. For many years we’ve enjoyed a trust-based collection process, and we are grateful for the support and understanding of our customers. However, ensuring the security of freight held within our depot must remain our priority.

🚛 We are hiring: Casual Freight Sorter and Local Business Delivery Driver

Dongara Freight is looking for a reliable and motivated team member to join our morning operations. This is a hands-on role combining depot work and local deliveries, perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and starting their day early.

Your mornings will include:
• Sorting and scanning freight for delivery
• Loading vehicles efficiently and safely
• Delivering freight to local businesses
• Providing friendly, professional service to customers
• Keeping freight organised and accounted for

What We’re Looking For
• Dependable and punctual (early starts are non-negotiable)
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Strong attention to detail when sorting/scanning freight
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Requirements
• Forklift ticket (or willingness to obtain)
• LR driver’s licence or higher (or willingness to obtain)

Santa’s little helpers Linda and Marty have completed all the deliveries received this week 🎁 🦌 🎅
We will be closed for the next two days with this Saturday deliveries for businesses only, the next lot of general freight deliveries will be Monday 29th December! 📦 🛻 We are still in Geraldton each business day so sing out to Steve 0427946142 should you need a pickup!
We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the local people and businesses in Dongara and Geraldton for another solid year of support - Hope you all get some much needed down time during these festive weeks.

Good morning Dongara! Belated Christmas wishes from the team here at the Dongara depot. It’s been quite an extraordinary week and we thank everyone for their understanding with the limited information we received regarding the Christmas Eve incident.
The recent fires have also added another unexpected element to the mix with the main road closures - everything will be a little delayed!

What a challenge it has been with the Telstra outage! All our scanners run off this network so we appreciate your patience as we manage a lot of things manually; technology is bliss while it works!
The ever faithful Stan is receiving calls and voicemails once he gets into Geraldton; however feel free to message on here if you’re having any freight related issues and we will try our best to assist. C’mon Telstra 💪🏻 You can do it!
