Explosion at Aqaba Port, Jordan after crane line snaps and drops a container of chlorine, killing 14 and injuring more than 250 others.

Chlorine is highly toxic and was used as a weapon during World War One.

Three men were arrested last week as part of a Joint Organised Crime Taskforce (JOCTF) investigation into the importation of co***ne into Melbourne. The arrests followed the importation of approximately 45kg of co***ne hidden in a jukebox from Greece, which was detected by Australian Border Force officers.

Devastation at the BM Container Depot in Chittagong following a container fire that was still burning 46 hours later.

The death toll unfortunately has reached 49 people, eight of them fire-fighters after several subsequent blasts. The cause of the blaze is not immediately clear but it quickly spread to containers holding hydrogen peroxide causing the blasts.

A senior Chittagong Port Authority official has now decided to clear 609 drums of hydrogen peroxide through auction from the port yard.

Shanghai Lockdown is over!

However, a freight forwarder has said the city’s reopening would not be “the same as turning on the lights”.

“It will take weeks, if not months, to come back to anything considered as normal for the industrial output volumes, and then the shipping container volumes.”

More than 30 Killed and Hundreds Injured in Bangladesh Container Depot Fire

The fire is suspected to have originated from a container of hydrogen peroxide before swiftly spreading to other containers. According to local media, the explosion was so powerful that it could be heard from several km away and shattered the windows of surrounding buildings. Several hours after the explosion, the fire was still raging on Sunday morning.

The AFP have charged a ship captain for his alleged role in the plot to import 320kgs of co***ne into Australia via regional Western Australia.

The arrest follows the seizure of $128 million worth of co***ne in Port Hedland on 15 May 2022 and the arrest of two men who police alleged had collected the plastic wrapped drugs from the ocean off the coast of the Pilbara town.

320kg of Co***ne was seized in a camper van on Sunday after 2 men hired a boat and launched it from a local boat ramp and headed 28km out to sea. Police suspect the pair used the runabout to collect the co***ne from the ocean off the Pilbara mining town.

The men’s boat was seen idling close to an international bulk shipping carrier while offshore and investigations are continuing into suspicions that cargo vessel was used to import the drugs into WA waters from overseas.

Shanghai to open this week! 😊
Authorities in Shanghai have given the first official deadline for Shanghai to open up and it's May 20.

Analysts have said it would take anywhere from four to eight weeks for normal operations to resume at Chinese ports. Analysts have also warned to brace for a so-called whiplash effect from Shanghai's reopening.

Dead Diver and 50kg of Co***ne found in Newcastle Harbour after Bulker vessel carrying soybean powder docks.

Police were called to the Harbour on Monday on reports of an unconscious diver found on the shoreline. After resuscitation efforts failed, the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Yellow packages near the diver were found and after examination were determined to contain co***ne.

Police said that he had a high-tech rebreather that does not emit air bubbles and typically is used only by a very skilled diver.
