Women Leading Aviation: End to End
This International Women's Day, Airport Development Group together with Airnorth is proud to celebrate the women who keep aviation moving across Northern Australia.
Earlier today, Airnorth services between Darwin–Tennant Creek and Darwin–Cairns delivered a fully female-operated flight and airport experience, demonstrating women leading aviation operations from runway to sky.
From pilots and cabin crew to airport operations, safety teams and customer experience professionals, every element of these services will be delivered by women.
Regional aviation in the Northern Territory operates in one of Australia’s most demanding environments, with remote distances, complex logistics and challenging climatic conditions. This initiative highlights the professionalism, resilience and operational expertise women bring to safely connect our communities every day.
Aligned with the 2026 International Women’s Day theme , this celebration recognises how progress made by women in aviation is now being given back through mentorship, leadership and creating pathways for future generations.
Together with Airnorth, we are proud to recognise the women shaping the future of aviation across Northern and Central Australia.
