TRANSPORT SERVICES:
Neil's has a network of delivering via road throughout country Victoria and Southern NSW. Neil's Transport works primarily with it's own 30 prime movers and 80 trailers although some 20 to 40 sub-contractors are used on demand and seasonal requirement for extra workload. All Neil's Transport vehicles are fitted with Satellite tracking devices, to monitor the movement of truck
s and their freight on a 24-hour, 7-day basis. Our Operations team is currently using this system in conjunction with manual co-ordination of all vehicles and freight. Route planning also carried out by the operations team to ensure that vehicles and appropriate trailers are available when and where required. Planning is initiated 2 to 5 days in advance and constantly monitored using the satellite to highlight any potential delays. Warehousing is overseen by a Manager who is responsible for the control and flow of products through the storages. All personnel working in the area are qualified forklift operators. All office personnel are mindful of correct information flow and insist on proper documentation from all delivery drivers. All drivers, upon gaining employment with Neil's Transport are trained in the following;
(i) Operations of the company
(ii) The vehicles
(iii) The correct recording of loads and trips
(iv) Proper loading procedures including restraint, packaging, checking of load details
(v) Monitoring of loads during transit and
(vi) Full time OH&S training.
