Enjoying a few days at Narrabeen Caravan Park in Sydney’s Northern Beaches catching up with family and friends before we head 3 hours north back to our home after 12 months travelling Australia. Narrabeen is where I grew up, learnt to swim, surf, drive and enjoy the beachside lifestyle. I have so many awesome memories of this place.

What a wonderful time we had at our friends Nicky and Rob’s farm in Oberon. From feeding baby lambs, petting cows Walter and Willow and enjoying time by the warmth of their fire place, it was a great catch up. Their property is in a beautiful location, looking out over green fields and rolling hills and is surrounded by pine forests. ‘Ourfields Farm’ was the perfect place to enjoy a few days of peace and serenity. Thanks for having us.

Before we left Bourke this morning we enjoyed a nice leisurely cruise along the Darling river on the Jandra. It was cold and misty when we first took off but warmed up as the sun came out and the birds flew overhead.
The original Jandra was a steam paddle boat, built in Mannum, South Australia, in 1894 for Arthur Senior of Bourke. The modern paddle vessel in operation today was built by Russell Mansell and his family and commissioned in 2000; the first paddle boat to operate on the Darling River in over 60 years.

Happy hour entertainment at Lara wetlands outback Queensland

We stayed overnight at Lara Wetlands station (near Barcaldine Qld) and enjoyed the hot artesian pool and fireside talks.
