We’re excited to announce that Gatton Bus Service and Minden Bus Service will combine under the new umbrella of QBus. With the recent acquisition of Burns Bus Service, which will also operate under QBus from 2026, this marks the beginning of a new era in school and regional bus travel across the Somerset, Lockyer, and Ipswich regions. All existing bus timetables will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for our passengers, and we invite you to keep an eye out for our new QBus website launching soon.”

⚠️ Flooding & School Bus Safety Reminder ⚠️

As we head into flood season, please remember:
School buses may be delayed, altered, or unable to operate in flooding conditions.
✅ Buses cannot travel through floodwater
✅ Routes will be disrupted if roads are unsafe
✅ Staff may be flooded in and unable to reach depots to commence runs
✅ Families may need to make other travel plans if buses can’t run
✅ Buses cannot collect students earlier than official school closures, even in emergencies

BUSES ARE NOT RUNNING 4TH OF SEPTEMBER!

Please be aware that there will be no buses tomorrow for the pupil free holiday.

Gatton Bus Service has made contact with all buses that travel along Eastern Drive coming into Gatton and while they are stuck they are SAFE. Please make contact with your students if possible to reassure them if needed but under no circumstances stances are students to leave buses. Students will be late and contact has been made with the schools to make them aware of this. The impacted services are run 33, run 31, run 32 and run 43.

Our school bus services run entirely seperate to the schools and thus we WILL be running AS NORMAL on Wednesday the 6th of August. We respect the important role teachers play in our community and encourage families to consider the QTU’s message when making decisions about your students attendance tomorrow. Not all schools are impacted so please look to schools for more information if you require.
