Virgin Australia and Link Airways have just unveiled a codeshare partnership aimed at significantly expanding Virgin Australia's presence in regional Australia. Operating more than 90 weekly services, Link Airways will spearhead this initiative, with Virgin Australia codesharing on these flights as part of the agreement. Notably, this collaboration includes routes to Inverell, Wollongong, and Biloela, currently untouched by other major airlines.

In a move set to enhance the travel experience for Velocity Frequent Flyer members, they can now accrue both Points and Status Credits on 17 fresh regional codeshare services. This agreement not only marks a substantial growth in Virgin Australia's regional footprint but also promises to create seamless connections between regional Australia and the broader domestic network.
