BACK TO WORK: After a few weeks subcontracting at the airport as a refueller, Tim is back in the workshop from today! So give give us a call or drop in to say hi, as we get back to what we know best: keeping you guys out on the water!

PSA: Due West Baby incoming very soon! We are so excited for our newest apprentice to start (give him a few years to get up to speed 😂)! Please bear with us during this exciting time, as Tim will be dropping down to half days for a few weeks upon arrival to spend time with the newest addition to our family, as well as taking care of Jess. We will still be taking phone calls and doing admin work throughout the day, but the workshop will only be staffed in the mornings. We want to thank you all for your support, and look forward to this exciting new chapter of our lives!

Fully loaded in the workshop! Just over two weeks until we close for Christmas and we are pushing to get everyone back on the water for the break.

A bit of painting for your Tuesday arvo! We fitted this second hand gearbox to Scott's Evinrude ETEC, but it was in need of a bit of a spruce up. A bit of sanding and prep work, followed by a primer and top coat and this gearbox is looking like it (almost) just rolled off the line! Swipe to see the final result...

Benny came to us a few weeks back with a new project. Get rid of the old Honda 30HP wreck on the back of his boat, and go to maximum rated horsepower by fitting one of our second hand reconditioned motors: a 50HP Yamaha Precision Blend 2 Stroke, with a bit of help from Denver and the boys at to weld the transom for new mounting holes. We measured, drilled and fitted the new motor and rigged up, and Benny was back out fishing by the weekend!

A few weeks ago we carried out service works on Geraldton Senior High School's boating program outboards, and then held a lesson on outboard care and maintenance for the class down at the Geraldton Multi-purpose Centre.

This ensured that the GSHS fleet will be safe and reliable for another year, and gave the students some valuable information as well as introducing us to future work experience and potential apprentice possibilities.

Whether you have a big engine, small engine or multiple requiring attention, we have the means to provide a premium service or fleet maintenance.

CONDITION REPORTS: Are you looking to buy a new boat or update your insurance policy? DIAGNOSTICS.

As many of you may already know, we already had diagnostics for late model Suzuki and Yamaha, and direct injection Evinrude outboards. And as of last week, we now have diagnostics for all EFI Mercury outboards, including Optimax, as well as Mercruiser and Volvo Penta inboards up to current 2025 models.

Something different this week! While not our specialty, we do have some experience in Mercruiser inboards and sterndrives. This is Tim's own project boat "Nugget". A 1980 Baron Sportsman with the original Mercruiser 140HP 3.0L 4 cylinder engine and leg, a fair bit of mechanical work was needed to get this motor back to being seaworthy and on the water.

A full service including water pump kit, new leg due to rusted splines in the upper box, full set of bellows and gimbal bearing, alternator, rocker cover reseal and a new battery for good measure and she was ready for her "maiden" voyage.

Sea trial went off without a hitch, and Tim can't wait to get out for a fish and a dive, and maybe see you out on the water!
