A breakdown call out for Richers Transport this afternoon - blow the top of the power steering reservoir, repaired it and sent the truck to continue on it’s journey 🚛

This truck was brought to a stop by a failed brake booster, blown tyre and melted wheel seal after the brakes caught fire.

As harvest season approaches, operators travelling under the National Class 1 Agricultural Vehicle and Combination Mass and Dimension Exemption Notice 2026 (No. 1) are reminded of important clarifications to the law.

The conditions of the notice permits eligible agricultural vehicles and combinations to:
✅ travel with one trailer or implement for combinations using a prime mover or rigid truck as the hauling unit;
✅travel with two trailers or implements for combinations using an agricultural vehicle/machine as a hauling unit;
✅be a maximum length of up to 35 metres;
✅be a maximum mass of up to 45 tonnes, with a maximum axle limit of up to 12 tonnes;
✅travel up to 25 or 50 kilometres per hour pending braking method and tow mass ratio;
✅travel with a pilot and es**rt based on combination width;
✅have warning signs, flags and lights attached.

If your trailer has a row of 8 tyres per axle, it can’t be inspected using standard inspection pits at our Qld sites.

So, to arrange your inspection:
1️⃣ Book as usual using the How to book an inspection process
