QUALIFIED BOILERMAKER OR 3/4 YEAR APPRENTICE WANTED!

OEM Onsite Engineering and Maintenance is looking for a QUALIFIED BOILERMAKER OR 3/4 YEAR APPRENTICE. We are offering a fulltime (or casual if preferred) position with competitive rates. This position would be ideal for someone wanting to be based in town at our Gracemere workshop but also willing to do occasional town site work. The ideal candidate MUST have experience in light and heavy fabrication and be able to fabricate and weld mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.

Any Boily’s or competent welders chasing some work?

Huge variety of work!
Must be confident (and competent!) with a Mig, running both solid and flux.
Double pulse ally experience, or willing to learn a must.
SS and Ally Tig experience preferred.
Hours are there for the right person, and an immediate start is wanted due to the current work load.
Work booked for the rest of the year and into next year.
Subsidised accomodation can be arranged, with a negotiated roster (10/4 or similar) for out of town starters.
Transport experience is preferred but not essential.
This is not a FIFO job!

Currently have a vacancy for a labourer/TA or a Roofer for 2/3 Days work from Thursday this week, and possibly intermittent further work for the Labourer/TA.
The work is outdoors, and it will be hot, won’t be overly strenuous though, just assisting with lifting fabricated items into place for welding (30kg), short wall sheeting and flashing (screwing off and pop riveting).

Another couple of skid plate in the process of being completed, and ready for a Monday pickup.
I will post a few more photos of the removed skid plates once they are cleaned up next week, with an explanation of the wear limits, for each thickness plate.

Another urgent Tautliner ally gate smashed out to keep the deliveries going, now packed to repair the rest of the gates onsite 👍🏻
