The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), the Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC), and Lactalis wish to advise that, following the closure of the Lactalis South Brisbane facility, the coach parking area located on the site will cease operations from 30 June 2026.

TMR, QBIC and Brisbane City Council (BCC) are currently working together to identify alternative coach parking arrangements within the South Brisbane precinct. Once suitable locations have been identified and are ready for use, further information will be communicated to industry operators.

In the meantime, operators are encouraged to refer to the Brisbane City Council resources below for information on available coach parking and passenger set-down and pick-up locations.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as alternative arrangements are developed

This National Road Safety Week, QBIC reminds all road users to choose patience, kindness and consideration on our roads.

Remember you share the road with other motorists, pedestrians, bike riders, motorcyclists, traffic controllers and road workers every day — and everyone deserves to get home safely. Before you drive, check your mindset. A little patience goes a long way.
