This brand new Winnebago, which has been nicknamed , got some further upgrades in the workshop.

installed:

✅ 12v thermostatically controlled extraction fan as the original outlet was just a hatch without fan

✅ several Sirocco fans from SEEKR by Caframo

✅ Diesel heater with the addition of a stainless fuel tank rather than the plastic one.

When installing new appliances, materials or equipment to any job that comes through Ambrosia Boat & Caravan, we always make sure that our default is quality & value, not quick & cheap:

• high grade electrical wiring
• all electrical joins, where possible, are soldered, not joined with crushed cable joiners
• enclose all wires in flexible conduit
• hold wiring and fuel lines in place with p-clips with protective rubber inserts
• wrap exhaust on diesel heaters with heat rated titanium ribbon to protect surrounding materials
• sealants with 25 year written warranty from manufacturer

The little Crusader was in again for its annual service.

It was also good to get the site tidied up and clean again ahead of roof sheet installation next week (when it’s not raining 🙃🤣)

It’s certainly been challenging with the rain and cooler weather not drying the water and mud up.

*****UPDATE - UNDERCOVER 2*****

Wet weather has slowed us down, but, have battled on in the rain, the resulting mud and still managed to deliver a small miracle with getting the start of the roof structure up.

We will likely be delayed again in the coming week with more rain forecast.

The site is a quagmire and the “all-terrain” scissor lift has been bogged numerous times.

Thank goodness for that has pulled it out of the mud.

got back to work today after the lovely rain over the past couple of days.

Work is progressing well and we are working hard at keeping it on schedule

• ✅ Concrete footings poured
• ✅ Concrete sleeper wall built
• ✅ Drainage trenches dug
• ✅ Drainage pipes installed
• ✅ Posts stood up and fixed

Scott's food vans keeps improving their offerings so hungry customers can continue to enjoy a great variety of delicious food at a broad range of events in Canberra & surrounds.

Ambrosia Boat & Caravan is so proud to support Scott across his awesome fleet of food vans.

With many of the vans on display in this post…..the one that we are focused on now is the “German Sausages” van with the installation of a RATIONAL oven that uses steam, hot air and combination cooking modes to deliver high-quality food.

Lifting it through the servery window with was the easy part….for 3 of the members of inside….the struggle was real to manually maneuver this oven weighing many hundreds of kilos into position.

Lots of plumbing adjustments to both gas & water supplies as well as drainage have been done….just some further finishing off with benchtop to be built next to the oven and it’s done.

Update - undercover 2 construction

is Layla…she’s keeping everything on schedule.

Excavation done….approx 300m3 of soil, clay and rock removed to get the site cut down to level.

We’ve augured 27 x 600mm diameter holes with a target depth of 1.5mtrs for concrete footings. We couldn’t get down that deep with some as we’ve hit rock.

Fabrication and customisation of steelwork underway in the workshop

Hoping to get concrete trucks in next week, then, steel er****on starts soon after.

50% of the undercover storage spots are prebooked.
