What an amazing feat for the Tasmanian maritime industry!

The River Derwent is hosting the 217m semi-submersible heavy transport carrier, MV Black Marlin, that loaded the world’s largest battery-electric powered ferry, Incat’s 130m Hull 096 - China Zorilla, built right here in Tassie for all of Hobart to bear witness.

The massive operation was a huge success and spectacle to behold at the many vantage points in and around the river.

Bound for South America, the ferry will service between Argentina and Uruguay and can hold up to 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles.

Congratulations to Incat Tasmania and the many people involved. You have placed Tasmania on the the world stage!

What an honour to be a finalist in the Superyacht Service Provider of the Year category at the 2026 Australian Marine Industry Awards that will take place at the Gold Gold in May.

It has been quite a journey and there is still a lot more work to do as Tasmania gets recognised as a destination for visiting yachts. Being chosen as a finalist feels like I have won already and very happy to be in the company of great providers!

Congratulations to the amazing Father-Daughter duo, Richard Grant and Megan Grant, on completing the Melbourne to Osaka Cup! What a journey and treasured memories to keep!

Congratulations Richard and Megan Grant, on Magellan, who crossed the finish line in a close race against Fika on 24th April 2024 at 05:54:37 (GMT+10).

The first father and daughter team to do the race. They sailed the last 2000nm under jury rig, an amazing feat.
