Time spent living life on the open road with my family has been an electrifying adventure!

There is something truly special about embarking on a journey with your loved ones.

We've embraced the freedom of the open road, and our energy seemed to flow endlessly as we explored new horizons together. The open road has become our playground, and every Km brings new surprises and experiences.

From the winding roads through picture perfect landscapes to the bustling cities we've encountered, my family has thrived on the diversity this lifestyle offered.

We hiked through forests, up mountain sides, swam in rivers, under waterfalls, lakes and even many different beaches, we have told stories around campfires around the country and the memories of these moment are absolutely priceless.

Living on the open road has also taught us the values to family and friendship, we've faced challenges as a family and our shared experiences have only strengthened our bond. Whether it's the excitement of discovering a hidden gem or the serenity if a starry night sky, every moment has a reminder of the beauty of our journey.

The open road isn't just about places we visited, but the laughter, love and adventures we shared as a family.

The open road is an endless possibility of adventures, it's a canvas waiting to be explored with experiences and adventure of the unknown and the possibility of discovering new horizons, whether it's a cross country journey, a road trip through unfamiliar landscapes or simply a drive through the next small town, the open road brings endless opportunities and excitement of what lies around the next bend. Finally, all repaired, and hooked up again,.

Unfortunately though we're only homebound on this trip while we plan where we're going to go and how long we will go for.

Goodbye for now kakadu, we are in Darwin.

We have managed to get connected to a brand new farm stay that isn't even scheduled to open till tomorrow. It's a stunning setting, sitting on 10 acres with bush walks, playground, pool, animals and fantastic hosts we couldn't have asked for more.

If any, the only down side is driving 6km to the DP. (First world problems 🤣)

Possibly going to settle here for a few months, time to relax, unwind, work and generally see the area.

We will do a video on our plans over the next week.

When you travel unexpected things can come your way....

After a trip up north we have finally made our way East with our new van we were just leaving Barcaldine and we get a call over the CB with two 8 meter loads coming our way with plenty of time to move over, with rain the night before we had to be very careful not to get bogged thankfully Steve knew what he was doing and we were back on the road again.

But for the truck behind us with a full load couldn't move over much as he would have got bogged, he apologized for not moving over and explained that he was sinking real fast, even though it was tight to pass it went really well.

Bowen truely has been a hidden paradise, from secluded beaches to stunning sunrises, great cafes on the beach and much more, this place truely does feel to have stopped in time.

It has enough for what you need without having that overgrown commercialised feeling.

It's a quiet town located approximately half way between Townsville and Mackay. We have had the pleasure of being here and exploring the town and the surrounding area while working for the past 2.5months.

With only about 2 weeks to go here we look forward to being back on the road again. As great as it is to stay put and take a break, the gypsy soul in me is edging fir that open road again.

Stay tuned as we continue our venture around this stunning country we are lucky enough to call home.
