What a fantastic way to experience the Abrolhos Islands! ☀️🏝️✈️

It was a pleasure welcoming Laura Wells and the WHATS UP DOWNUNDER team for a day exploring one of Western Australia's most spectacular destinations.

From the crystal-clear waters and incredible marine life to the rich history and breathtaking aerial views, the Abrolhos Islands never disappoint—and it was great to see some of Laura's highlights shared on her Instagram story!

We can't wait to see more of the adventure and to welcome even more visitors to experience this unforgettable part of the Mid West.

Every journey has a beginning. ❤️✈️
This aircraft, VH-MIA, and Kalbarri Airport are where our story began when the current owners took over the business in July 2007.
Back then, we could never have imagined where the journey would lead. What started with one aircraft and a passion for sharing the beauty of Kalbarri has grown into multiple bases, a larger fleet, an incredible team, and the privilege of introducing thousands of visitors to some of Western Australia's most spectacular landscapes.
While so much has changed over the last 19 years, it's pretty special that we're still connected to where it all began. Seeing VH-MIA sitting at Kalbarri Airport is a reminder of just how far we've come—and that every new chapter is built on the foundations of those early days.
Here's to the memories we've made, the people who've been part of the journey, and the adventures still to come. 💙

We’re celebrating a big milestone! 🎉

Nationwest Aviation, the team behind Kalbarri Scenic Flights, has been recognised as the WA Regional Business Awards Winner – 1–5 Employees Category.

Kalbarri is where it all began for us, when the current owners purchased Kalbarri Air Charter back in 2007—so this one feels especially meaningful 💛

Even though our operations now span multiple locations and a wider team, tourism demand fluctuates throughout the year. Because many of our staff work part-time, we fall into this category—for now.

Our focus moving forward is growth and stability, with the goal of transitioning more roles into full-time positions and stepping into the next category in the coming years.

A big thank you to the Kalbarri Visitor Centre for their ongoing support, and to the entire Kalbarri community. The town has shown incredible resilience through some tough years, and we’re proud to be part of it.
