One container. Five stakeholders. Roughly seven days to get it sorted.
People outside this industry think container transport is simple. Truck shows up, picks up the box, drops it off. Done.
What's actually happening behind that one container:
The importer wants their freight yesterday. Probably ordered it four months ago.
The freight forwarder wants the cost down and the delivery expedited.
The shipping line gives you 7 days to collect, unpack and return the empty container to the right park.
The terminal allocates you a slot, but you're competing in a pool with 200 other carriers trying to grab the same windows.
Then there's Melbourne traffic. NHVR rules. Roadworks. Driver fatigue regulations. Your team's families.
Our job is to tick everyone's box on a tight clock and still hit our own margins.
Most of our long-term customers get it. They trust us with the moving parts because they've seen us manage them week after week.
That trust is earned one container at a time.
