On the way home from Africa, Emma stopped for a 3 night relaxing stay at Club Med Bintan Island. Just a 1hr ferry ride from Singapore this beautiful lush island is perfect for an alternative place to stopover.
Club Med is an all inclusive resort with their own private beach and plenty of entertainment for both adults and kids. Currently finishing a refurb of their rooms, (due for completion by end of the year) the new look is bright and fresh.

Emma's last safari, lucky seeing 2 cheetahs and a lion with 2 females. What a great trip this has been and staying at Honeyguide in the tented camp, hearing the lions, monkeys and many other animal calls at night was an incredible experience.
Next stop, Club Med Bintan Island for a relaxing few days

Emma is now in South Africa, staying at Honeyguide Mantobeni tented camp. 2 safari drives in and have seen a cheetah with 4 babies, rhino, hippos, elephants and 2 lions, plus a cheeky monkey trying to get inside the tent.

Emma has just ticked of one of her bucket list items, trekking to the Gorilla's in Uganda.
What am amazing experience to see these beautiful primates up close, with the silverback relaxing watching over his family, the little baby hanging in the tree then playing and kissing his mother, just beautiful.
It was a decent 1.5hrs trek uphill on a very steep incline through the jungle and thank goodness for porters to help carry bags and also pull you up the mountain on many occasions, worth hiring one.
Staying at the beautiful Buhoma Lodge, located in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where they looked after all your needs including cleaning your boots after the hike, to a well needed massage and washing, all complimentary.
Once in a lifetime experience.

Tegan has now finished her Viking Mediterranean cruise in Venice.

Off the ship and exploring the beautiful Venice and then continued on to her final stop by train to Rome visiting Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Vatican City and Sistine Chapel.

Skip the line tickets with a guide were a must as things are getting very busy in Rome!

Tegan is continuing her Mediterranean Cruise aboard Viking Cruises visiting the town of Montenegro with beautiful medieval villages, the stunning Dubrovnik surrounded by the old town walls that we walked around and Split a seaside town with so much history and Diocletian's Palace a UNESCO world heritage site built in the 4th Century.

Tegan is now onboard her Mediterranean cruise for the next 7 days. Departing Athens on the Viking Sea such a beautiful ship!

First port was Olympia where the ancient Olympic Games were held every four years and where the temple of Zeus is.
Next port was Corfu a beautiful seaside town with quaint little streets of shops and restaurants.
Weather has been just perfect!
