Another print and here we have a son of a gun Howard Revell son of 5 times Australian Champion Ray Revell! Howard is shown here at the wheel of the famous Dark family owned Berco Holden at the Sydney Showground Speedway! Around this time in 1966 -67 a young Howard was just hitting his stardom and becoming a star on the dirt tracks in his own right! Howard went on to a illustrious 30 year career in speedway! In 1978 Howard packed his own car and family, and flew stateside to hit the famous USAC championship trail against some very tough seasoned opposition! I'm sure the records show he was placed a very credidible mid field position over the season!
Moving forward to the early 2000's we have become friends with Howard and Di, and often catch up (for coffees,edit) or chat on the phone ! Howard these days participates in more dangerous sport of Golf hahahah! Drives the buggy like he did many years ago!

This print remembers these two tough gladiators Sid Hopping #100 CAE Modified and Garry Rush #1 ex Anderson Sprintcar going head to head in one of their Sunday afternnoon battles at Liverpool Speedway back in 1973! These 2 champions were pretty good at boxing too, as their battles sometimes ended up on the trackside with some fists being thrown! I actually witnessed it myself! There are photos capturing the moment! Great days for a speedway nut like myself!

This print captures the close racing between these fierce rivals Jeff Freeman in the immaculate Mackay Offenhauser #75 and Johnny Stewart in the beautiful cherry red Holden Shell McGee Trackburner at the dusty cauldron the world famous Sydney Showground Speedway in the mid 1960's! Sadly Jeff lost his life in the #75 car at Westmead Speedway May 9th 1965 which sadly was actually Mothers day! All of the fans from the era still talk of these legends today!

Here is USA champ Bob Tattersall in the beautiful Big Honker Offenhauser all the way from the USA in 1966 on one of his 13 visits to Australia! Bob became a adopted Aussie and brought many cars to the Land down under!

Here we have Jeff Pickering in his beautiful Purple Edmunds copy Modified racing for that hard earnt win on a dirt oval way back in the early 1970s! These home built cars were popular before the imported cars that came in later years! Jeff did a brilliant job building these beautiful cars! Something special in what backyard engineering could build!

Another illustration and this time we have the Bob Jane Pete Geoghegan Torana A9X from Bathurst 1977 It is done on Acid free 250gsm card! This car looks beautiful in typical Bob Jane style!
