What a fantastic night at the Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce Best in Business Awards! 🎉

We were incredibly proud to be named a finalist in the Small But Mighty category and honoured to be recognised alongside so many outstanding local businesses.

While we didn't take home an award this year, we left feeling inspired, grateful and incredibly proud to be part of such a passionate business community.

A huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists across every category. The calibre of businesses represented on the night was exceptional and every finalist should be proud of their achievements.

We'd also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce and the many volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create such a professional and enjoyable event. From the beautiful venue at the Turf Club to the wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening, it was clear how much care and effort went into bringing the event together.

Thank you for a fantastic evening, great company, plenty of laughs and a reminder of just how many incredible businesses call our region home. ❤️

Not going to lie, that was pretty bloody cool. 😄

Tonight we attended the live recording of Paul Murray LIVE’s Our Town special at Mackay Marina and Mackay absolutely showed off.

The sunset was incredible, the full moon rose over the water as the show was being filmed and the whole atmosphere was just magic.

We spent yesterday showing the crew around some of our beautiful islands and seeing their reactions has been a great reminder of just how lucky we are to call this place home.

Mackay, you looked phenomenal tonight. ❤️🌅🌕

You can catch the Our Town special tonight at 9pm on Channel 56. We can’t wait to see how our beautiful region looks on screen!

What a bloody day! 🏝️☀️🐋🐬

Today we had the pleasure of taking Paul Murray LIVE and his crew from Sky News Australia Our Town out to experience some of the very best of the Mackay Islands, alongside a couple of legends from Mackay Isaac Tourism.

And wow… Mackay turned it on. 😍

We were treated to dolphins playing on the way out, a whale breaching in the distance, crystal clear water, beautiful beaches, vibrant reef fish and some of the healthiest coral you’ll ever hope to see.

We started with a swim and beach time at St Bees Island before heading across to Keswick Island for an absolutely spectacular snorkel. The visibility was incredible, the water temperature was perfect and everywhere you looked there was something to see.

The best part? Watching people experience it for the first time.

The Sky crew were genuinely blown away by how stunning our islands are and were very excited about the footage they’d captured.

Days like today remind us how lucky we are to call this place home.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today, especially Mackay Isaac Tourism for helping showcase our region to a national audience and our wonderful guests for being part of such a fantastic day.

Now we can’t wait to see the finished episode and share our little slice of paradise with the rest of Australia. ❤️
