As of the first Saturday of January 2024 Manjimup Freight Distributors and BMI Logistics is no longer open for the 5 hours of the Saturday morning. This decision wasn't easy as our customers are very important to us but to our surprise this change has been received extremely well and we are thrilled to get those few extra hours off as well and a full weekend to catch up with life and those never ending chores. We thank you and take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the coming year.

Well 25 years ago I was offered a little freight run for free as it was a total burden for the then owners and they just wanted out. At first I wasn’t interested but then decided to give it a go. I signed up with Ipec on the 1st September 1998 and borrowed a old holden ute from my dad and kicked it off.
It started off relatively easy back then with smaller volumes than today which only took about 3 hours of work a day however stretched over the most part of the day. My start time was 6am with a bush run, then a second industrial run at 7am which took me about ½ an hour, then a long morning tea break til 9am for a quick fashion run down the main street. I would then do the afternoon pick ups with my 3yr old son Scotty keenly sitting in the passenger seat and then eventually Sean and Kaitlyn would join Scott and I would have my 3 little ones with me all learning the ropes.
Forward 25 Years (300 months / 1300 weeks / 6500 days / 780,000 hours) and after receiving & delivering millions of small parcels & cartons and over 900,000 plus pallets yes that’s right, covering millions of km’s locally and an agent for several transport companies as well launching our own BMI Logistic run (Bunbury to Manjimup & In-Between) in January 2018 to keep us well & truly on our toes. The BMI Logistics run is headed by little Scottie who is now 28 with 25 years of couriering experience.
We currently service Manjimup through to Pemberton & Northcliffe, across to Nannup, Bridgetown, Boyup Brook, Greenbushes including Talison Lithium mine site through, to Donnybrook & Bunbury.
We still operate like a small family business and are extremely fortunate to have wonderful staff that work hard & help support the business. We also have had some incredible customer support over the past 25 years and now see other family businesses who are still with us today with the 2nd & 3rd generation carry on the reigns.
The past 25 years have certainly had their moments but also lots of hard slogging and early starts, laughter and some unique stories to tell, so I wish to sincerely thank all of you who have supported Manjimup Freight Distributors and now also BMI Logistics and we look forward to servicing your needs for the next 25 years.
