With the Federal Government’s recent announcement slashing the fuel excise for three months, we know our sailors members have been feeling a bit left out. It hardly seems fair that the stink boaters get all the government handouts while the sailing purists are left paying full price for a stiff breeze!

Yachtshare's own, Larry Kleist, is battling it out at the International Finn events at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron this month. Yachtshare is supporting all three events with the Australian Championship, the Finn Gold Cup and the World Masters. Larry is performing at the pointy end of the fleets so get out on the water in support!

Anton is also doing his bit for the team by supporting another sponsor of the regatta, "Stone and Wood". It's not the first time there's been a close association between Yachtshare and Stone and Wood, and Anton will do what he must to support the sponsors by drinking their products. He's also happy to drive a Porsche if that is what is required.

Some of the fiercest yacht racing in decades is about to unfold over the next few days at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. This is, of course, with two of the world's most famous regattas.

First off is the hotly contested XMAS Wednesday Afternoon Go Sailing (WAGS). Only one yacht will reign supreme, and many others will complain about their handicap.

From Thursday to Saturday, the David vs Goliath battle between Anton and Larry in the Finn Class at The Yacht Sales Co. Sail Brisbane will take centre stage on Waterloo Bay.

In preparation for the two events, we've dug deep into the archives to take inspiration from the master, Paul Thomas.

Start your day with a sunrise on the water. We are looking for detail-oriented people to help clean and prepare our fleet of yachts from 6:00 am to 9:00 am.

✅ Perfect for early risers: Finish work by 9 am and enjoy the rest of your day! ✅ Flexible Roster: Shifts available 7 days a week (approx. 15-20 hours/week). ✅ No Experience Needed: If you can clean and have an eye for detail, we will teach you the rest.
