Would you know what to do if someone suffers a burn while travelling? 🔥
When burns happen, cooling and quick action can make all the difference:
✅ Cool the burn as soon as possible with cool running water for at least 20 minutes
✅ No water? Use any clean, cool liquid like beer or soft drink
✅ Cover the burn with a loose, non-stick dressing - Cling Wrap is a great option!
✅ Where possible, elevate the burnt area to reduce swelling
Inside RV First Aid, you’ll find clear, step-by-step guides for treating burns, bites, and other emergencies, so you can act confidently when it counts.

Towing lingo got your head spinning?

Here’s a quick breakdown:

📦 GVM - Gross Vehicle Mass = the total weight of the fully loaded tow vehicle including full fuel tanks, passengers, cargo, and after market accessories.

🏕️ ATM - Aggregate Trailer Mass = the total weight of the fully loaded caravan, unhitched from the tow vehicle.

⚖️ GCM - Gross Combined Mass = the total weight of both vehicles - the fully loaded caravan and the fully loaded tow vehicle.

Getting your weights right means safer towing, less wear and tear, and no nasty surprises if you’re pulled up roadside.

Inside RV First Aid, our Understanding Your Weights Masterclass makes all the acronyms easy to understand.

To avoid burns and bushfires:

✅ Keep fires small and contained
✅ Never leave them unattended
✅ Fully extinguish with water (not sand!)
✅ Store firewood well away from the pit
✅ Teach kids a “safety zone” around the flames

💬 What’s your family’s campfire rule for the kids?
