Travellers aid to improve accessibility at Bendigo Station

Passengers who need extra assistance when travelling, including seniors and people with limited mobility, now have access to tailored support with the launch of Travellers Aid at Bendigo Station.

Bendigo is the sixth location on the V/Line network to offer Travellers Aid services, providing practical assistance to passengers navigating one of Victoria's busiest regional transport hubs.

Travellers Aid assistance can be booked by calling (03) 9654 2600 and will be available to passengers of all ages and abilities, operating between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Contactless payments for concession holders are

Transport Victoria has rolled out contactless
payments for concession holders, making public transport easier and more accessible in Victoria.

If you travel on a concession fare, you can now tap
and go with your bank card, phone or smartwatch.

Temporary service update at Travellers Aid Flinders Street Station.

The accessible toilet is temporarily unavailable while upgrades are underway from Monday 12 October for a few weeks. Due to these works, the lounge and phone charging will not be available. Luggage storage and mobility hiring will still be accessible.

October marks the beginning of the Victorian Seniors Festival and today is the first day, of the nine, of free transport for all Victorian Seniors Card holders to explore Victoria.

Travellers Aid is available to support on your journey whether through our Companion Service, mobility equipment hire or simply a buggy ride to your next train, tram, bus, taxi or plane.

Receiving such positive feedback from the last time that Travellers Aid was at the Victorian Racing Club (VRC), we will be there again this weekend on Saturday 3 October for the TAB Turnbull Stakes Day.

"Great work picking up Members and dropping off at the VRC turnstiles as my wife has had an operation. Pick up and return to car at the end of the day also appreciated. Driver courteous and helpful - Victorian Racing Club (VRC) member"

Travellers Aid will be there to provide buggy assistance between the members car park and members gate. Call us on race day 0498 023 959 to utilise the service.
