Twenty years of service is a milestone worth celebrating – so a huge congratulations to Jeff Thompson, who this month marks two decades with Allied Express.

Working the morning shift at our Forrestfield, WA depot, Jeff helps keep freight moving as a forklift operator. Unsung heroes like Jeff help keep our network running safely and efficiently every day.

He says it's the people who have made the difference.

“The team I get to work with” is what he enjoys most about the job, while job security and satisfaction are what have kept him with Allied Express.

Known for his positive attitude and willingness to welcome new team members, Jeff says the time has flown by and he's already looking forward to the next milestone.

It’s not every day you get the chance to Train Like a Tiger – so we were thrilled to give some of our customers, employees and their families the chance to do just that at the Zurich Centre of Excellence with Wests Tigers.

The lucky (and brave!) attendees took part in a gym session, on-field training and a recovery warm-down led by the Wests Tigers’ very own High-Performance Team.

It was a unique hands-on look at what goes into elite performance, from preparation and training through to recovery.

Meet Frank Soueif and Jeffrey Oo, two drivers celebrating 10 years on the road with Allied Express!

They’re familiar faces to customers on their Sydney delivery runs and we’re proud to introduce them to you in recognition of their outstanding service.

Frank handles bulky freight in his trusty Hino curtainsider, while Jeffrey pilots a Toyota HiAce van for smaller metro deliveries.

“I enjoy the variety of being out on the road and the long-term friendships I’ve made,” says Frank, a proud family man who enjoys watching his boys play footy.

Jeffrey says the most rewarding part of the job is "knowing that what I do helps keep businesses and customers moving”.

He relaxes by spending time in the garden – “I've been told I have a bit of a green thumb!”.

Thanks to contractors like Frank and Jeffrey, customers can rest assured they’re getting the care and consistency they have come to rely on from Allied Express. Thank you both for 10 years of hard work and dedication.

Perth might be the most isolated city in the world geographically, but it’s a vital and strongly connected depot within the wider Allied Express network, linking local and national operations.

WA State Manager Jeremy Speijers says local knowledge, expertise and a friendly, tight-knit team help drive the success of Allied’s Perth operations.

Meet Zach Kinash, 2IC to the AM (Morning) Manager at our Broadmeadows depot in Victoria.

“My job is to oversee all operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.”
After six years with Allied Express, Zach knows all too well how quickly things can change on the floor – and the importance of staying one step ahead. He says his love of sport helps keep his head in the game.

“I’m really into my rugby – the intensity and physicality of the game is second to none. I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoy being on the depot floor so much – and working as part of a team.”
