A heartfelt shoutout to Marie Lawton and her incredible team of volunteers.

Long before the first section opened in March 2023, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes — pushing, advocating, and believing in something bigger for our region.

We were proud to be the first Bike Shop & Bike Hire Shop on the Murwillumbah station platform (fka Murwillumbah Cycles), supporting the vision even before the Rail Trail was officially approved. We’ve witnessed its growth from the very beginning — every step, every challenge, every milestone.

Although we lost the tender back in December 2023 and have since moved to Mooball, we’re genuinely happy to remain part of this journey and to continue supporting the Rail Trail community in our own way.

Marie has been a resilient and passionate advocate for many years — and to her and the entire volunteer team: Thank you for never giving up.

I personally believe that the Rail Trail would not be here without this dedicated group of volunteers.

This journey has taught us something valuable:
Persistence creates progress.

A huge shoutout to these legends who showed up, geared up, and hit the trail anyway — and came back with the biggest smiles 😄

Wet? Yes.
Muddy? Definitely.
Worth it? 100% 🙌

Byron Shire in northern NSW is working on getting approvals and funding for the transition of the 132km rail corridor that travels through Mullumbimby, Byron Bay and Bangalow into a rail trail for everyone to enjoy!

We’re just coming out the other side of the summer school holidays, and wow – what a beautiful few weeks it’s been! ☀️

The weather absolutely spoiled us, but even better were the people who came through our doors. Every customer was so lovely, relaxed and genuinely happy to be out enjoying time together. You all made our days a ton of fun!

We’ve seen so many smiling faces, excited kids, family adventures, group rides and fantastic student outings. It’s been wonderful watching people connect, laugh and make memories on two wheels.

Thank you to everyone who chose to spend part of their holidays with us – you truly made it a successful and joyful season. We can’t wait to share some of the photos with you 💛🚴

What a beautiful way to wrap up an unforgettable chapter 🇫🇷➡️🇦🇺

A father and son spent their final days in Australia together after the son had lived, worked, and studied English here for nine months. Before flying home to Marseille, they chose to celebrate the moment in the best possible way — out on the trails.

They hired our Specialized Levos and headed to Uki Mountain Bike Park, making the absolute most of a perfect day. Big smiles, flowing trails, and that special kind of shared adventure that stays with you long after the flight home ✨🚵‍♂️
