It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of our long serving Patron, Col Lamond. Col was passionate about the preservation of the hall. He was instrumental in obtaining funding to assist with the painting and general upkeep of the hall. In fact, Col was just passionate about everything "Moorak". There wouldn't be too many of us that can't recall the old red truck with the red kelpie on the back, pulled up for a chat on the side of the road. We wish to convey our sincere condolences to the Lamond family.

The District Council of Grant invites residents of Compton, Moorak & Suttontown to join us at the Compton Hall for a sausage sizzle followed by a township meeting at 5:30pm on Tuesday 22 February 2022. To RSVP and to raise any items for discussion please email [email protected] by Thursday 17 February 2022. A pop up Covid-19 Vaccination centre will also be available at the meeting, no bookings required.
